A single lamp ultra-violet document viewer, which uses a new compact ultraviolet lamp, giving approximately 5 times more UV light output than linear tubes. Applications are for checking UV safeguards in areas of high ambient lighting or for examination of documents for solvent straining and erasures. An eye protection window is fitted so that it is not possible to view the lamp directly in normal use.
